In its second year, Free Press Summer Fest has demonstrated it's here to stay. With
more attendees than ever, this event has quickly established itself as Houston's new
major outdoor music festival.

But it's actually more than that. As these photos will show, Summer Fest is a celebration
of many things: of different modes of dress, different ways of partying, different ways to
play and, of course, different kinds of music. The laissez-faire Montrose sensibility is
abundant, attracting even some Austinites to our area to come out and get crazy.

To everyone who was kind enough to permit themselves to be photographed, my
sincere thanks. If you see yourself and would like a free, full-size digital image file,
suitable for reprints as large as poster-size (they are that good), please do write me;
it would be my pleasure to send them to you. Write to ctphotoartist @ yahoo.com.
