AS A GUY, WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO MAKE?
Modeling is another paid-by-the-hour profession. Oddly, it is one of the few professions in which women outearn men.
How much you make per hour depends on a number of factors including (a) your experience, (b) how popular you are, and (c) what part of the country you're working in. Since Houston isn't as "hot" a city as New York or Los Angeles, a male model won't make as much here as in those other cities. But it can still be lucrative.
It is not unusual for established models to make in excess of $200 per hour. But keep this in mind: that figure usually means you won't be working a 40-hour week (unless you're really popular or it's a long assignment). Between shoots, unless you have a part-time job or something else, you won't be earning hourly. A professional agency can give you an actual figure for the Houston market.
Just don't expect to make as much as a supermodel starting out.
