MODELING DO'S AND DONT'S
Don't...
Show up to a shoot stoned, drunk, or high. (Unless you're informed otherwise.) You need to be focused enough to take instructions from the photographer, fashion director or client and if you're sloppy you'll be too hard to handle. Also, you won't look as good - when you're strung out it shows up in pictures.
Party too much. Get your rest, get enough sleep. Being well-rested and alert will help you do better at a shoot or on the runway. Ever see a picture of a model yawning? Didn't think so.
Allow yourself to be mistreated. Because models are unquestionably attractive, there are some who would try to take advantage of them, exchanging advancement for (ahem!) "favors". Watch out.
Tolerate disreputable agents or agencies. If you think you're being jerked around or if you're asked to continually dump out thousands of dollars with no apparent results, find someone else. There are "agencies" out there whose sole purpose is to boost egos of applicants in exchange for money. Stay away, stay away.
