MODELING DO'S AND DONT'S Do... Show up for photo shoots you schedule. I cannot overemphasize how important this is since it's what gets your image onto a camera. If you don't show up and you don't bother to call anyone, people are gonna think you're either (a) lazy, (b) a prick, or (c) disorganized. None of these three things will get you far in the field. Call or e-mail if you're going to have to change your appointment. Other folks involved also have their own schedules to keep and their time matters just as much to them. Remember the last time you got stood up? Good. It's like that. Annoying, isn't it? Make an effort to get along with the folks you work with or for. Chances are at some point you're gonna come across someone that you're not crazy about. Stick it out; your assignment won't last forever and then you can move on to someone else. Remember what you're being paid, that should help. Watch what and how much you eat. This will be especially important if you sign a contract constraining you to keep within certain weight boundaries. You don't have to eat nothing but rice cakes, but push away from the table a little more, y'know? |
